Illogical future

Ok, so slavery is legal (which doesn't make sense, because of the moral outrage) and they are using games to decide all of this? There is no logic here! Games can be hacked, and cheated, and... On the slavery issue. United states civil war. That's all.

I don't see why you think slavery seems implausible, a completely diferent society with a completely diferent origin AND multiple species would likely view the universe diferently.

As a computer programmer, I feel a slight twinge of frustration that you must naturally assume all games can always be cheated and hacked. If they are properly written, they cannot be.
